You do not need a table for this. Measure one finished square, then divide your blanket size by it.
Step 1: Measure a real square
Crochet one square in your yarn, block it and measure one side. Do this before you buy all your yarn, because hook size and tension change the result.
Step 2: Divide
Divide the blanket width by the size of one square, then do the same for the length. Round to whole squares. For a 90 × 110 cm blanket and a 10 cm square, you need 9 squares across and 11 down. Multiply them for a total of 99 squares.
Step 3: Allow for the edge
A border adds to every side. If you plan a wide border, take it off the target size before you divide.
Common sizes
See the crochet blanket size chart for starting points. Names vary, so measure the bed or sofa when fit matters.
Let the tool do the count
The granny square blanket maker shows the finished size as you change the number of squares and rounds. Add your own stitch and row counts for a closer estimate.
